Lorry loader cranes have either a crane behind that cab or at the rear of the vehicle, they can be used to load and unload items from the lorry’s bed, outside or inside buildings. The lorry’s can carry items from different positions around site were normally larger cranes would have been required to reach these large distances. There sometimes referred to as Hiab’s after the original design & manufacturer. They are popular due to there fast, user friendly setup, low ground bearing pressures, good visual safety and no counter weight swing protruding the vehicle. There different to Mobile All Terrain or City Cranes which don’t carry anything other than the equipment used to rig and lift loads.
